Synopsis

A small village in Northern Ireland in the 1980s

Hilary, an academic, finds herself drawn to Paul, an uneducated man from the local toy shop. As she grapples with the challenges of shielding her learning-disabled brother, Danny, from their alcoholic father, Colin, Paul gets entangled in a harrowing robbery. Faced with turmoil, Hilary is forced to decide if her own future and well-being take precedence.
